Magnets made with love- an act of kindness to spread some cheer
During the lockdown our student Ahaan Lakhanpal of std 3 decided to do something to help underprivileged children in his own way. He had created handmade wooden magnets based on comic expressions. He started with a small number of 10, but the response from friends and family was so overwhelming that he eventually ended up making close to 300 of these. He sold each magnet for Rs. 50/- and in a few months had raised a sum of Rs. 15,000/-.
Unfortunately, since most of the NGOs were shut, and still are, Ahaan couldn't find a suitable avenue to donate this sum. So, when his class teacher, Miss Choksey spoke about Junior school connecting with the Children's Ward of the Wadia Hospital to gift the 300 children there a shawl, a tiffin carrier and a water bottle each, he was excited about the idea and immediately decided to donate the entire sum of Rs. 15, 000 for this cause.
