The students of the Nature Club were taken to Sewri on the 23rd of February 2017, to see the flamingos that had migrated from the Rann of Kutch in Gujarat. As soon as the students reached there, they were given a pair of binoculars to view the flamingos. They spotted the Greater Flamingo, the Lesser Flamingo and many other birds too. The bird expert at Sewri explained the characteristics and habits of the birds to the students. She also told them about where the birds had migrated from and a few unique facts about them. They were also reminded of the importance of conserving this precious ecosystem. The students also got an opportunity to view the birds through a telescope, which was a wonderful experience for them.
