Elocution provides a platform to showcase one’s talent in an integrated display of articulation, dramatisation and voice modulation. On the 20th of July, 2018, the ‘Hindi Department’ organised the annual ‘Hindi Elocution Competition’.
‘Humor’ distinguished the poems chosen by students of grade 5, heartwarming poems were selected by students of grade 6, as they threw light on ‘Social Issues’, while students of grade 7 mesmerized the audience through their ‘Inspirational Speeches’.
The Cathedral and John Connon Middle School was graced by the esteemed theatre personalities, Ahlam and Zafar Karachiwala, who adjudged the winners to be Atishay Dhadha in the first position, Dheer Kapoadia in the second position and Nirvaan Dhanuka and Anaisha Chaudhary sharing the third positions, among grade 5 participants.
Among grade 6 students, Param Davda secured the first position, Armaan Bhansali and Anveshi Srimal shared the second position, as did Sansara Nagpal and Arnav Gupta, both considered worthy of winning the third position.
The winners of grade 7 were Jaivardhan Malkani, who secured the first position, the second position was shared by Pramit Rao and Rian Sanghavi won the third position.
