The way to a person’s heart, is believed to traverse through the palate. On the 23rd of February, 2018, our very own Middle School chefs, honed their culinary skills as Cathedral transformed into an open air restaurant!
With the chef’s station to sauté, fry or bake, the children ‘bought’ their ingredients, designed their menu cards, decorated the table, and welcomed the teacher-judges, entertaining them with songs and dances.
The students lived up their roles wholeheartedly, creating special T-shirts for the occasion. Grade 5 prepared ‘The Big and Little Potato Cookout’, Grade 6 presented ‘The Crazy Corn Cookout’ and Grade 7 were ecologically responsible as they put together, ‘The Go Green Cookout’.
