On the 12th of August, 2017, ‘Nature Club’ members embarked upon an environmental field trip to ‘The Eco Park’ at Wada. Beginning with a farm trail, viewing a variety of verbs, shrubs and trees, the nature lovers proceeded to become ‘farmers’ for a day and planted papaya saplings. Expanding their ecological understanding and learning, the students were provided a demonstration of self-watering planters, which was followed by a discussion on urban agro ecology. Many seeds for future generations have clearly been sown!
